Abstract
We present the results of 48 visual encounter surveys conducted at Madre Selva Biological Station in Loreto, Peru, from May–July 2022. We recorded 30 species of amphibians and 16 species of reptiles, and while these surveys were inadequate to sample the area’s full biodiversity, inclusion of additional data (opportunistic encounters and previous records) increased the total to 76 species of amphibians and 66 species of reptiles. This combined approach allows for a more complete view of the herpetofauna in this region, which may be used to assist future management plans on-site and throughout Amazonia.
