Abstract
This article reviews state-of-the-art MR acquisition strategies for brain imaging including sequences for imaging anatomy and morphometry, microstructure particularly in the white matter, and functional imaging. Recent developments in terms of acquisition strategies are reviewed for each of these topics, and the trade-offs made with some of the different strategies are discussed.
