Abstract
This chapter attempts to synthesize information presented in Chaps. 10.1007/978-3-030-32057-7_7 through 10.1007/978-3-030-32057-7_11 of this volume. It examines the influential factors that control the amount of methylmercury that enters and is subsequently biomagnified through the food web to top predators. It begins with a summary of current risk to both wildlife and humans from mercury exposure in south Florida.
