Abstract
Chris Dolan is a former public school principal in Australia who underwent a personal and professional transformational journey that fundamentally altered, confounded, questioned and countered his view of his past work as a local and regional educational leader. He has written a book, that explains, illustrates, teaches and models a profound re-conceptualisation of the complexities, contradictions, and paradoxes of principal leadership in the age of neoliberalism. He positions his book within the expanding field of critical leadership studies(CLS), an emerging multinational phenomenon.
