Abstract
This mixed methods study explored the value and feasibility of delivering Occupational Therapy (OT) wellness sessions focused on aging safely in the home and optimizing quality of life (QOL) in the context of social isolation for an aging population. The four sessions held via Zoom offered participants an opportunity to develop skills and share their lived experiences. Participant feedback included decreased perceptions of social isolation, increased peer bonding, and a newfound understanding of the role of OT in the healthy aging process. This pilot study supports the role of OT in prevention and the inclusion of teletherapy (TT) as the medium.
