Overview This fun and creative hands-on group project inspire reflective collaboration and communication transformational lessons. Students develop long-lasting friendships with classmates from the chaos and order of the experience. Abstract The purpose of this reflective exercise is to have students actively engage in an experience that gleans thoughtful reflection. Student teams experience building a fun and creative hands-on prototype project with limited supplies while faced with urgent high-pressure, and time-consuming distractions, losing a valuable team member, and gaining a new team member after the project is well underway. Creative and critical thinking skills coupled with effective time management, planning, and organizing are considered. Leaders emerge from this exercise. The leader may be the project manager, but often it is another team member. A student team observer notes the team's emotional, social skills, and interpersonal process effectiveness, which includes collaboration and communication. The observer reports the findings to the class. Students' thoughtful reflection is transformational. Formative assessments are measured and align with learning objectives. Specific learning objectives from other entrepreneurship courses can be easily replaced with the sample learning objectives included in this exercise.
