Abstract
Previous studies on mobile games have predominantly concentrated on the pre-adoption phase, neglecting post-adoption behaviors. Furthermore, existing research has often treated game players as a collective entity concerning their gaming needs and emotions, with minimal exploration of distinctions among player levels. To address these gaps, our study delves into mobile game design by considering the perspectives of distinct levels of game players. We aim to identify pivotal factors for personalizing mobile game design based on the specific levels of the players. The finding s from a preliminary study recognized simplicity and learnability as key factors influencing the enjoyment of mobile game players, subsequently affecting their intention to persistently engage with the game.
