Abstract

A research was carried out to evaluate the feasibility of applying the concept of de minimis discharges to types of categories of non-storm water discharges. The research first reviewed and evaluated the regulatory basis for control of non-storm water discharges, and the regulatory approach of de minimis as applied to specific discharges. The research also identified types of non-storm water discharges and reviewed data about discharge characteristics and water quality impacts.
