Abstract

[Excerpt] A growing body of research supports a positive relationship between physical activity (PA) and alcohol consumption within various sample populations. Anecdotally, producers of craft beer appear to specifically market to active consumers via sponsorship competitions, charity biking, and hosting of regular PA events (e.g., group runs). Currently, no empirical data exists regarding the promotion of PA promotion by craft breweries.
