Abstract
Genocide has occurred many times throughout history, for various reasons. When a leader becomes a dictator and commits crimes for reasons that do not serve humanity, we have to ask why this dictator was allowed to come to leadership. The following pages will examine just what factors the dictators Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Slobodan Milosevic had going for them that they were able to commit such horrible crimes in their time of leadership; and if figured out, what can be done to prevent them from happening again?
