Abstract
Excerpt: Journal of Urban Economics (JUE) was first published in January 1974 with Edwin S. Mills as editor. The end of 1989 marked the first 16 years of the journal’s existence under Mills’ guidance. During this time period, JUE published 666 articles in 10,459 pages. These articles were written by 564 different authors, who were employed by 236 separate institutions. This article summarizes information on the contributors to JUE, identifying those authors and employers who have made the most frequent contributions to the literature through this journal.
