Abstract
Excerpt: As we begin the new year, we find ourselves excited for the possibilities that lie ahead for the Journal of Music Therapy (JMT). This past year was a time of reflection, as we celebrated the 60th anniversary of the journal. This milestone afforded us the opportunity to reflect on the history of the journal, how the journal has changed over time, and to consider possibilities for the future. As we move forward into the next decade for the journal, we recognize that the growth of the JMT will have both opportunities and challenges and that we can continue to learn and grow in an effort to best serve the readership, the scholarship, and the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
