Abstract
Medical education isknown for its rigorous demands, requiring students to develop a comprehensiveunderstandingabout the human body.1Likewise, excellingin the pre-requisites neededfor medical school admission is equally challengingdue to the required intensive, content-heavy nature of requiredcourses.2Despite the evolution of pedagogical approaches, traditional teaching methods—such asdidactic lecturesand extensive note-taking—remain the predominant approachin these settings.3,4As a result, students often resort to rote memorization to meet high-stake exam deadlines, while educators focus on coveringlarge volumes of materials efficiently. Yet,do these passive learning strategiestruly supportlong-term comprehension and retention?
