Abstract
Intro: “I think it's finding a way for it to work over here.” These were the words shared by a teacher in the United Arab Emirates who has been part of a pioneering team working to create a Forest School in a desert environment. The Forest School approach has become very popular in recent years, with many schools offering this educational experience as part of the regular school day. Forest School provides children with the opportunity to engage with the outdoor environment as part of learning, increasing the amount of time children spend outside in the natural world.
