Abstract
Excerpt: We continue in our celebration of this milestone year for the Journal of Music Therapy (JMT), our 60th year of publishing research in music therapy. As part of marking this occasion we will be featuring music therapy scholars at various points in their scholarly career. In this issue you will hear from Dr. Amy Smith, a post-doc research fellow at Children’s Mercy Research Institute in Kansas City. Dr. Smith shares her perspective as a researcher across three phases of her scholarly career—clinician researcher, doctoral student, and post-doc—and articulates the challenges and insights she learned along the way.
