Excerpt: The EdMedia 2015: World Conference on Educational Media and Technology took place in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, June 22-24, 2015. Led by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE), this international conference provided attendees an open forum to discover a range of topics such as student learning, engagement, and instructional facilitation to support 21st century learning with the increasing role of technology in the learning environment. EdMedia 2015 offered over 365 presentations and events such as roundtables, keynote speakers, invited speakers, workshops, and posters. During the course of the conference, we interviewed experts and reviewed preceding papers from Austria, Canada, New Zealand, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and the United States to gain a global perspective of the benefits, challenges, and solutions of the growing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) phenomena in education.
