Abstract
Excerpt: This special issue of Decision Support Systems accepted six research papers and three research notes out of thirty submissions on important and highly relevant topics addressing information systems, e-commerce, supply chain design, and service system design research areas. Each submission was reviewed by a double-blind review process using at least two reviewers who are experts in the corresponding areas. Most of the accepted papers went through two to three rounds of revisions to meet reviewers' requirements and the high quality standard of the journal. We thank all the reviewers for their help and authors for their support and quality contributions.
