Abstract

Abstract Date Presented 04/22/2023 Results are shared from a national survey completed with caregivers of persons living with dementia during the COVID-19 public health emergency. One hundred thirteen participants from 30 states reported increased cognitive decline in persons living with dementia (80%), worsening behavioral symptoms (78%), and decreased motor abilities (80%). This public health and preventive need signals an opportunity for OT practitioners to provide care for vulnerable populations in public health emergencies.
