Abstract
Investigated the contribution of the brain opioid system to the development of epileptic seizures following amygdaloid stimulation in 6 female Wistar rats treated with naloxone and 4 females given a water vehicle. Results indicate that blocking endogenous opioids with naloxone facilitated the development of kindled behavioral seizures in rats without markedly altering the development of EEG brain seizure activity in the stimulated amygdala.
