Abstract
Excerpt: The IV International INTECOL Wetlands Conference held at Columbus (Ohio, USA) during September 1992, has been by far the most successful wetland meeting not only by virtue of its bringing together the largest ever number of wetland scientists from all parts of the world, but also through resulting in several notable publications (Mitsch, 1994; Wetzel et al., 1994; J0rgensen, 1995; Finlayson and van der Valk, 1995). Details of the meeting and its major accomplishments are described by Mitsch (1993).
