Expertise

My pedagogy is rooted in student-focused approaches to writing. I empower emerging writers to see themselves as creators and take ownership of their craft.

This reciprocal relationship between teaching and research invigorates my scholarly work, which centers on storytelling and narrative techniques. The more I witness my students grow excited about crafting their own stories, arguments, and evaluations, the more I'm inspired to investigate these same avenues in my research.

My current research examines gendered representation and authorial strategies in Philip Roth's fiction. My book, Women in Focus: the Male Gaze in Philip Roth's Novels, is forthcoming in 2026 with Bloomsbury Academic.
