Dr. Eric B. Dent is a consultant to Fortune 500, government, and non-profit organizations as well as an invited speaker to national audiences. Prior to earning his Ph.D., Dr. Dent served as a corporate vice president in the financial services industry. He began his career as a computer scientist with IBM. He is committed to an interdisciplinary research agenda and has publications in journals of leadership, consulting, philosophy, workplace spirituality, history, communications, psychology, education, and others. He has received many honors, such as the Volunteer Service Award from the Governor of North Carolina. He is a member of the Academy of Management and is a Board Certified Executive Coach.


Dr. Dent has pursued an eclectic research agenda ranging from luck in the workplace to American Indian entrepreneurship to workplace spirituality. His primary current research focus is on a historical movement, Moral Re-Armament (MRA). This movement was responsible for tremendous mediation and reconciliation within individuals, organizations, and countries. The principles and methods of MRA hold the promise today of reconciling the political left and right, management and unions, and East and West.
