Expertise

Dr. Carpenter has a background in environmental policy, public policy, political science, and law. His research focuses on community-based governance of natural resources, with a particular emphasis on wildlife management and human-wildlife conflict. Dr. Carpenter is also interested in the role of public awareness and salience on the formation and development of environmental policy. His teaching interests involve teaching resource governance and environmental law and policy and policy.
