Abstract
Excerpt: As seen in current policies, the university leaves the decision to allow the use of AI for classwork up to the faculty. Students must cite AI in all submitted assignments. Using generative AI without permission violates FGCU’s Student Code of Conduct. On an administrative level, the university has offered little instruction or guidance on faculty use of AI; certain departments, however, have taken it upon themselves to offer workshops or seminars on AI use in research or instruction.
