Abstract
Excerpt: Thornton et al underscore the need to study and investigate all aspects of neonatal hypoglycemia and stress that only careful prospective research studies will satisfactorily address this important neonatal morbidity and potential cause of neurologic injury in children. We agree and had noted all of these points in our report on the Neonatal Hypoglycemia Workshop sponsored by Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
