Abstract
Excerpt: We are grateful to the Editors of Seminars in Perinatology for this opportunity to update the readership of Seminars about the Neonatal Research Network (NRN). It has been 30 years since the formation of the NRN in 1986, and 13 years since the last Seminars in Perinatology issue was devoted to the Network. Seminars in Perinatology offers an opportunity to look both backwards and forwards at the accomplishments achieved, the challenges ahead and how the NRN has attacked persisting problems in neonatal and infant mortality and morbidity.
