Abstract
THE USAGE OF POSTACTIVATION POTENTIATION (PAP) TO IMPROVE STRENGTH HAS RECENTLY GENERATED INTEREST WITHIN THE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COMMUNITY. STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT THE ABILITY TO DEVELOP FORCE CAN BE IMPROVED FOR A SHORT PERIOD AFTER REPEATED MAXIMAL STRENGTH EXERCISE. THIS COLUMN WILL EXAMINE THE APPLICABILITY OF PAP AS PART OF A PREACTIVITY WARM-UP FOR A TRACK AND FIELD THROWER.
