Abstract
Excerpt: We appreciate the letter from Dr. Jelsema regarding clinical inclusion criteria for 2 recently published trials using hypothermia for hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. Dr. Jelsema points out that the inclusion criteria for the 2 trials quoted in the commentary were different from each other and different from the criteria published by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) task force in Neonatal Encephalopathy and Cerebral Palsy. The criteria are largely overlapping among the 3 documents.
